DIDO-X4 Firmware Update Guide

Updating firmware/bootloader via TFTP:

To perform the DIDO-X4 FW update, you will need:

• A 3rd party TFTP client to complete.  Aurora recommends the following opensource client: https://pjo2.github.io/tftpd64/
• A physical RS-232 connection and a client to send serial commands. Aurora recommends: Hercules SETUP utility | HW-group.com

1.       Download the Bootloader and Hercules

2.      Send the following serial command through RS-232:  !**BOOTUPDATE,<cr>

3.     Download the firmware and TFTP client

4.     Open the TFTP client and select the TFTP Client tab

5.     From the Server interfaces dropdown, select the network that your device is on

6.     The host will be the IP address of the DIDO-X4.  The port will be the default TFTP port (69).

7.     Press the button next to Local File and browse to the bootloader

8.     In the TFTP client, press the Put button.  You should see progress as the file transfers.

9.      When complete, you should get a success message

10. Press the button next to Local File and browse to the firmware

11. Press the Start Update button in the DIDO web setup page

12.  Wait a few seconds until the firmware update mode is active.  The device screen should indicate that it is in FW UPDATE MODE.

13. In the TFTP client, press the Put button.  You should see progress as the file transfers.

14. When complete, you should get a success message

15.  The device will reboot with the latest FW
