Using ReAX / Core Studio GUI with Android & iOS

Do you know that any device with a web browser can access ReAX control GUIs in the browser, including computers, tablets, and mobile devices?

We often get questions about mobile device apps.  We do not offer an iPad or Android app because our GUIs are published as web pages that are capable of web app modes. Below are instructions for using the interfaces with your devices.

iOS
  • Open Safari on the iPad and navigate to the control interface.
  • In Safari, press the icon that looks like a box with an up arrow.
  • Select 'Add to home screen'.
  • Give it a name. then press save.

This will give you an app icon on the home screen that opens in a full screen window, like a native app.  Use this with iOS Guided Access to lock the user in to a kiosk mode.

 Android
  • Open Chrome on the Android device and navigate to the control interface.
  • In Chrome, open the menu and select 'Add to home screen'.
  • Give it a name. then press add.

To lock the user into a kiosk mode, use app-pinning or a 3rd party kiosk app.
