Aurora Network Discovery Protocol

You can use UDP to discover Aurora devices on the network.  The data returned will include the device type, serial number, host name, IP, and Mac address.

Using Hercules (or other terminal program), send the following command via UDP:

{"Type":0,"Function":0}

This applies to most current Aurora devices with a network port.

Using Hercules Terminal

Set Hercules Parameters on UDP tab to:

Module IP: 225.0.0.1

Port: 4000

Local Port: 4001

Note: depending on the UDP client you are using, you may need to disable other network adapters except the one where the devices are located.
